Wow, how refreshing, so much hope and inspiration and government intervention! B.O. has a way with words doesn’t he? It’s so interesting how actual words don’t mean anything, but it’s how you say it the matters. And he can say it with pauses… in…. dramatic…places. Now that’s leadership. I could be standing in the rain and B.O. would look me in the eye and tell me there’s not a cloud in the sky. Maybe he’s an optimist. Maybe he’s a liar. All I know is that I miss Bill. At least he would finesse it. He would have said, “there’s no, no-earmarks, in the stimulus bill.” see? you always had to pay attention. But I get this weird disconnect when B.O. talks and it doesn’t match up with the truth. I think Bill would convince himself that what he said was true, even if only by syntax, but Barack doesn’t even put forth the effort to try to almost say the truth. I hear that about him, he’s got no work ethic.
Is it raining in here?
“ready to lead on day one”
See planetgore.nationalreview.com. Greg Pollowitz says it best:
“Oil Policy is Above His Pay Grade” - Gird your loins. President Obama’s energy secretary just found out he’s in charge of America’s oil policy. Via Hot Air, MSNBC: Energy Secretary Steven Chu may be a Nobel laureate Ph.D. in physics, but his first forays into energy policy suggest he’s a neophyte when it comes to the ways of Washington. At a forum with reporters on Thursday, the head of the department that has traditionally taken the lead on global oil-market policy, was asked what message the Obama administration had for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries at its meeting next month. ”I’m not the administration,” the Cabinet secretary replied. “I will be speaking and learning more about this in order to figure out what the U.S. position should be and what the president’s position is.”Chu, who is still without a deputy, said he feels “like I’ve been dumped into the deep end of the pool” on oil policy. The day before, reporters asked him about OPEC output levels after a speech to a group of utility regulators. He responded that the issue was “not in my domain.”Later, in a conference call to reporters, he said his answer reflected “more of my naiveté than anything else.”" This in a long line of leaders put in place by the Unfailing One. I have a vote for Obama. One of No Confidence. Even the market can not hide it’s opinion as it drops hints all day long. As new Secretary of State Clinton spends time in China, she’s discussing green house emissions. When asked about human rights violations, she said she couldn’t really bring that up, but she’d go to church on Sunday. Nice, I’m sure the political prisoners will appreciate your prayers. Meanwhile, the working class is “shovel ready” for the truck load of hope we get to experience tonight.

Obama, the great enabler
Once the intervention takes place, the next step heads toward recovery. Recovery from delusions of self-importance can be a slow, painful process. But always necessary because historically, these types of delusions don’t have a happy ending. They usually end in some kind of madness, or gently put, “the crazies.” (see Cher, Blago, John Wilkes Booth) Sometimes recovery takes pouring billions of dollars into tens of thousands of “shovel ready” projects at the federal, state and local level. And then picking up that stupid shovel and doing some of your own manual labor for once. Other times, you need to have your private jet pried out of your greedy, bony white hands. You know, the taxpayer funded one with the buzzard painted on the tail. For someone who’s not important enough to own a cell phone, this take down process is going to be very long. But if we go real slow and stay committed, don’t skip any medication, Nancy can be almost back to human by the next election cycle. Unfortunately, the success rate is pretty low, or, about the same as the new administration’s success rate in rallying the economy.
Keep your pants on Nancy, there’s only 63B$ for STD’s
Out of concern for our leaders, I am thinking of doing a “carefrontation”. Remember crack ? That’s powdered sugar compared to money and power. Like with her standard street crack, Nancy Pelosi will do anything to get more money and power, even if it seems stupid at the time or might leave her pregnant or in jail (which would be my preferred outcome). She will trade anything with the trade unions or special interest groups to get more of the highly addictive mo-po combination. It has infected all the house and senate democrats, it is now turned into a po-house. It is so blinding that they don’t care if the ship goes down, as long as the last thing you see is their hand with a fistful of mo. They’ve relabeled it “recovery bill” because it’s a little easier to stomach that way.
The antidote? Aaron Schock of Ilinois. Have you seen him? He’s smart, too young and doesn’t mind saying it like it is- even when it’s not what obama wants to hear. Dare I say a future revolutionary? Keep your eyes open for this guy. Now, Reporter Jake Tapper, gets points for audacity this week as well. He dared to have a follow up question for Obama press sec. But don’t look for him in future white house press spinnings. I think he’s been uninvited. Maybe if he could get a lead on another special interest group for Nancy to score from he could find his way back.
Joe Biden, smartest man in Amerika
Joe Biden pulls numbers out of the donkey he rode in on to make it seem like people in Washington actually look at numbers. “There is still a 30% chance” he says, that this grab-all-you-can plan could fail. I’d be willing to give him much better odds than that. Some numbers they don’t want you to hear about are that there are less jobless claims for the month and that retail sales are up. But if it were about stimulating the economy and helping Americans keep their jobs they would taken a look at the Republican recovery plan. It would cost half and by cost it means ‘revenues lost’ because they would be cutting taxes for small business and families. History has shown that when this takes place, revenues can actually increase because real growth can occur. There is so much rot in the democrat’s bill it’s not even worth going over. The details will be oozing out little by little over the next few days. But It won’t matter. The blood is in the water and the dems are finally getting everything they have ever wanted. The tragic part is that it was so easy. Dailygut said they are looting America, that Nancy Pelosi may not be running down the street with a pack of toilet paper in her arms but she may as well be. In the same spirit, our President gives republicans the universal hand gesture for “I won, you lost” and calls it “making overtures”, maybe that’s what it means in Illinois.
Just another day, walking on water
It would be fun to play poker with Obama because he has a tell. Whenever he’s bluffing, he talks to us like we can’t speak english- he just talks louder and louder but it doesn’t help it make more sense. It reminds me of what was said of Warren Harding: “His speeches leave the impression of an army of pompous phrases moving over the landscape in search of an idea. Sometimes these meandering words actually capture a struggling thought and bear it triumphantly a prisoner in their midst until it died of servitude and overwork.” Today was a town hall meeting. We would be forever entertained if he just did one of those everyday.
One lady at the town hall meeting haggled him for a car and a kitchen. I guess bama’s going to get her a job later (wink wink) because in his most merciful way, he told her to talk to some of his staff after the meeting.- Knowing how generous he’s been with his own family I wouldn’t count on a handout from his wallet. Of course, spending our money is more fun and much easier, so on second thought, she probably just moved to the top of the waiting list. It would confirm his power to do miracles. Anyway, even if she can’t get the house, at least he can get her medical records put on a computer. I can see his point, filling out insurance forms at hospitals was destroying our economy.
it’s not the numbers, it’s the compassion
According to my gal Nancy Pelosi, over 500 million jobs will be lost every month until the acorn bailout bill is passed. That’s incredible. Maybe she means throughout all of America, north, south, central, Europe, Africa, Australia you know, those Americas. Liberal math can be so confusing. Maybe as a mere peasant I just have trouble understanding. Like the welfare checks in the “stimulus”. Those are called “tax cuts” to keep the phones from ringing up at the hill. But I want to be fair and do the math so let’s try to think this through: if I give the poor $1200 a piece, that will stimulate the economy because for one month folks can buy a few more groceries and add the sports pack to their cable service. Which they will go into debt for next month when they decide to keep it. OK. On the other hand a greedy conservative wouldn’t even give it away, they would simply cut taxes for large and small businesses and help make investment lending for growth available. This would present the poor with the option of working for a living and possibly earning that $1200 a month for a very long time. Gee, how selfish! Those conservatives are so tricky. But I forgot it’s really about shoring up the voter base, so my bad.
When a Louisiana Senator was asked how they came up with the dollar amounts for each line item, she said, “ Now we can’t get nit picky about such an important bill”. Yea, that’s where I thought those numbers came from.
George is gettin’ upset!
60% of americans are against the bloated spending bill. Like ripe trash, the longer it sits around the more people notice that it stinks, therefore the urgency. In his activist tone, Obama single handedly lowers the dow as he proclaims, “if we don’t pass this bill, this won’t be a crisis, it will be a catastrophe.” Who is he rooting for anyway? I understand that he doesn’t NEED to be diplomatic and cautious about the words he uses, but smarter presidents have done it. The good news is liberals don’t know what catastrophe means, so phew, that was a close one. Most people think it means impending doom. It actually stands for, ” I, the great one, shall be very put out.” I know this because I heard Robert F. Kennedy Jr. the other day speaking in the same tone. He is very concerned about the danger of pigs. It seems their personal emissions are more dangerous than the terrorists who hit us on 9/11. So, if this is considered a national threat, I am ok with a catastrophe. I will worry more when RFK asks everyone to wear their own personal emissions calculator. (and Pelosi finds a way to tax it.)
There are no bad ideas, well, unless your a republican then shut-up.
People who care about such things are reporting that the adminstration seems at a loss. Is there much diference between lost and determined ignorance? Obama is an activist at best, not a democratic leader. And by activist I don’t mean “Jesus”. In his own world, he’s scoring 100. He’s getting done what he wants done- through executive orders and appointments. None of that time consuming legislative process. Activists don’t tend to patience. At least Clinton had the political expertise to be an incrementalist in his policies. He didn’t mind that it would take awhile, he was going to get there. Well, except for Hillary Healthcare, but we’re not sure that was really his idea anyway. And hopefully the “recovery act” will go to the same blazing hot place. Obama however, being our first Affirmative Action president, wants it all handed to him. Once in power, he assumed nothing would stand in the way. And yet, Behold the lowly, greatly outnumbered, yet newly endowed with manhood remnant-republicans! Who knew they’d get over their amnesia for a few moments and remember that they are supposed to be conservatives? It is hopeful to see that even they can still read polls. Causing Obama to break his own rule, “try to smile alot, looking mad scares the white people.” Which is funny because it’s when he’s smiling that I get scared.
